Vino di Savino’s philosophy about
wine:
- Swallow. We encourage it. You won’t
see us spitting out wine unless it is “corked”
or really bad. Some of us wine lovers just can’t let
good wine go to waste.
- There’s no place for snobbery.
If you are a wine snob, then you may want to consider another
venue. Wine tasting parties are about experimentation, asking
questions and having fun, not snobbery or uptightness. We
encourage experimentation with different grape varietals,
smelling and tasting techniques. Whatever works for you,
do it!
- Who cares? If you like white zinfandel,
you like white zinfandel. If you prefer heavily oaked chardonnays
or boxed Franzia, then so be it! It’s what YOU like
that is important. We will cater to your interests and preferences
and make suggestions to help complement and expand your
palate.
- We all learn best by doing. Sure, its
one thing to hear about wine, it’s another to read
about it, but quite frankly that’s not enough! People
learn best by actually tasting wine. It takes a lot of practice
to get good at determining aromas, bouquets, and subtle
nuances. The more you practice, the better you’ll
get. So let’s start practicing!
